WHAT?
Black Wealth Friday was founded in 2019 by George Acheampong. George and his team wanted to do their part to see more people of color build wealth. The goal is to Turn the largest consumer spending day of the year, Black Friday, into the largest wealth creation day of the year for people of color and we have identified you as a leader in personal finance, wealth building or entrepreneurship space. We want to lock arms with you to build black wealth! And, all participants will recieve a free investing mini course to help them get started on their wealth building journey.

It's no secret that when it comes to building wealth, we have work to do. We want to use this as an opportunity to ignite the movement of owning the narrative that black wealth matters. After making the pledge, your community members will get a chance to complete the black wealth survey that will give you us more insight on how we can better serve our communities. We be awarding the community member with the highest investment to recognize your efforts towards building black wealth.

People who opt into the Black Wealth Friday Experience will be able to invest in an account of their choosing. This experience will take place virtually and Melanin Money will will provide a free mini Investing Course for participants that will equip and empowered them on their journey towards wealth building.

All you have to do is let your community know about the movement and provide them the link to make the pledge. We are more than happy to go live with you on your platform, or pop into something you already have going on to share the message. We can even provide an email template or anything that would make it easy for you. Email our community rep to coordinate or get more details if you want to link arms.
By having your community participate, not only will you and your community be able to see your collective impact on a community level, we will also be able to share key demographic information about where your community is along their wealth building journey. This will give you better insight on how to serve your community. + We will be awarding members of each community for major financial milestones that they have achieved. As a bonus, everyone who pledges, completes the black wealth report and uploads proof of their investment for black wealth Friday, will automatically be entered to win $500 to accelerate their wealth building goals. Your community will be highlighted in the Black Wealth Report 2023 as well as honored at a special event in 2023.
