1. Can I change my payment plan after renewal?
Yes — you can adjust your payment plan (for example, switch from monthly to quarterly or annual) at any time.
Simply email Accounting@melaninmoney.com with your request at least 30 business days before your next billing date, and our team will update your plan for the next payment cycle.
All changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.
2. How do I cancel my membership?
If you’d like to cancel your membership, email Accounting@melaninmoney.com at least 30 days before your next billing date (or your upcoming annual renewal date).
This written notice ensures your cancellation is processed smoothly and your account is closed before the next payment cycle begins.
3. Will I lose access immediately after cancelling?
No — you’ll continue to have full access to your Alumni benefits through the end of your current paid term.
After that date, your membership access will automatically end.
4. When will I receive confirmation of my cancellation or plan change?
You’ll receive an immediate email confirmation once your cancellation or payment plan update has been processed by our Accounting Team.
5. If I cancel and decide to return later, will I keep my current price?
No — clients who cancel and later rejoin will be subject to the current program pricing at the time of re-enrollment.
This policy is designed to reward continuity and create an incentive to maintain your membership without interruption.
6. Do you offer prorated cancellations or partial refunds?
No — memberships are billed for the full term, and cancellations take effect after the 30-day notice period.
We do not prorate or issue partial refunds for unused time, as this keeps our process consistent and transparent.
7. Can I pause my membership while on auto-renewal?
No — memberships cannot be paused or placed on hold.
If you need to step away temporarily, you may cancel with the required 30-day written notice and rejoin when you’re ready (subject to current pricing).
8. Do I have to refer new clients to stay in the Alumni Circle?
Yes. To maintain active Alumni Circle membership, you’re expected to provide two qualified referrals per year. Referrals simply need to complete a discovery call with our team — no pressure to close.
This ensures our alumni community continues to grow with like-minded wealth builders who share the Melanin Money vision.
9. What happens if I don’t meet my referral requirement?
If you haven’t fulfilled your referral commitment by the end of your membership term, your Alumni Circle membership will be paused. You can reactivate at any time by submitting your outstanding referrals or upgrading to the standard Ongoing Advisory Services renewal rate.
This approach keeps membership exclusive to those who actively contribute to the community’s growth.
10. Do I earn a referral bonus?
Not directly. The Alumni Circle is an access-based membership, not a commission program.
Your referrals are considered your “currency of contribution,” unlocking access to alumni benefits, recognition, and continued connection.
Top referrers are highlighted in our Referral Leaderboard and honored at community events for their impact and engagement.
